7 days later

Hi bloggie, haven been updating you for quite some time. The title 7 days later is not like the movie 28 weeks later whereby pandemic swept across london and 28 weeks later, the city is filled wif virus that is still within the human body and they became 'zombies' that goes around biting ppl( i think so).I didnt watch the show la.. but read frm the review.

The title 7 days later is to indicate that the period of this post and the last one is 7 days. This 7 days period , there are quite a number of 'events'. Firstly is the SRRR,over the weekend then the P.hantu recce,the next day and followed by graduation ceremony on thursday,today.

This year SRRR has been a little torturous for me, probably due to the heat. Just cannot understand sia, a few days prior the event, it has been raining and pouring and on the actual event is it extreme hot and sunny. But the heat was unbearable. Haiz... Global warming at work again. Can someone change the weather back to normal? Can someone stop the globe from warming up? Can someone please do something abt it. Surely the globe elite engineers can think of way to mend the depleted ozone layer ba...

SRRR has been unforgettable because of the number of diamonds on my face and it has contd to harvest up to my neck. Basket! i blame it on the SG river. So dirty and oily. Somemore i spend abt 3 hrs in the Sg river to get all these ... Y do i have to go down sia, cant be smarter ar?

Also the topic of the day. ' SPA has good culture' wad does the good culture means? Always do sai kang culture? willing to do any kind of work ? versatile( can do lots of stuff )? or can bao kar liao all the wrk? or Ai zai ?Hmm.... topic to think about.

Have been complaining lately ... but will try to stop the bad habit soon. No complain-> nth to ponder->nth to ponder->nth to blog->nth to blog tt means no complain and the cycle continues...

Some updates. Will be running in the passion run 10km and maybe P50 ah laos team. Must start to train up soon but lack the ignition coil to spark my motivation to run. Have been relaxing for close to a month liao.Engine cooled down le.

Everything went smoothly for the P.hantu recce and nth much for the grad ceremony except tt alan was there and he congratulate me twice.Haha... see me grad liao he oso happy. Hm.... Feel for the ceremony that marks the end of my poly life. But i have signed up for the SP alumni previliege card at $10 nia... can get to use the SP facilities. haha...

Woohoo!! Uni for me

Yay! Finally i will be moving on to another level of the education ladder. I have been confirmed of a place in NTU. I am feeling the joy and at the same time anxiety due to the uncertainty of the future as well as self doubt as to whether i will survive the 4 yrs. The thought of having to study/compete wif 'A' level neerds and more cheena foreigners makes me feel inferior and uneasy.

Anyway i have been accpeted into the course Physics and Applied Physics. It came as a huge surprise to me because 'A' level students are suppose to be giving poly- mers great competition for science courses. Maybe i am v lucky... haha. maybe they have heard of my big AI ZAI philosophy and decided to enrol me. I will give u 5 good reasons y i am so lucky and shud w/o 2nd invitaion to accept the course offer.

1. I submitted my application on time however i did nt send in my results slips until more than a month after the submission dateline. By right they shud have void my application

2. Despite the 4 phone calls they made to me to ask me to submit my results slip, i managed to do so 2 good weeks after the the fourth call. Lucky? U decide.They could have given up on me...

3. I did diploma in electical engineering and therefore it will be logically correct to take up BEng in EEE or even other BEng degrees. But no i decided to turn on the style and decide tt i wanted to do a Degree in Physics and AP and i knw i stand lesser chance compare to my counterpart doing 'A' level science. But i managed to get in w/o any 'A' level science and mathematics.

4. Also my final GPA oso nt very de fantastic, < 3.5 and no certificate of merit how to compete?

5. And my 'O' level results sucks. Imagine a 30ptrs frm 6 subjects doing physics. ppl will laugh their ass off sia. ?!?!? oso my physics grade is c6 nt very de tok kong ha... tough uni life ahead... Neeed to prove myself at uni stage... A pass is nt gd enuf. Aiming for 2nd upp class and above.

Happy is Happy. But have to go through 2 years of army regiment training. I know i have been assured of an education after army, now i can afford to relax and make my next move. Where shud i go for holiday? probably climb G.Tahan again ba... will propose the idea soon.

It has been a long time since i last blog. Nt tt i went AWOL(away w/o official leave)for the past week. Just tt there are nthing much for me to write on. Ha... wad exactly is blogging? izzit when u hv issues/opinions/experience to express/voice out, then u will pour it out, or shud it act as a diary and record daily's activities... hmmm....

For me i hv been slacking at home for as long as possible and doing nothing. Wad a strange feeling when u hv nth to do and idling away. FOr the past 13yrs of life, it has been studying/tests/exams/class/lectures continuous ... nw tt the schling days have come to a break, i am having tough times adjusting to this lifestyle. Perhaps this is the moment for me to recharge my battery after 20years of non stop schooling life, to gather all my energy and to catch my breath tt i having been hoping for when i was in sec sch.SOon comes the next phase of life(i.e. next 20yrs, Adult).

People look for job but i wait for job to come.

Hmm... Actually can spend more time wif family members. Nt bad though as Life is always unpredictable. Maybe i shud take this time to learn culinary skills frm my mum( she can realli cook). Learn hw to prepare AI XIN meals. wahaha... next time can prepare my own meals.

Last weekend was the FO camp and i made a cameo appearance. Was there to be acolite... wahaha. Thought tt the camp was somewhat different/unique from the past. Maybe i have nt been attending thse 'fun' camps liao(been thru too mny regimental camps also a turtle in a well for too long), was impress by hw they take this camp to a new level by breaking the stereotype mindset of introducing adventure lifestyle to newbies for FO. Great leap forward, a sign of more exciting things to come and moving towards the thinking-out-of-the-box mentality.

Yay! Jobless dude again!

Yay ! a sign of relieve. My 2nd assignment at RP ends today... Hve been working hard for the last 5 days. I will show u my work area.

1. I scan about 320 documents*a day... and in total close to 2000 documents .

2. Then i will save the scanned image and sort it by folders. * Acceptance course forms, result slips...)


NOw i am jobless again... back to sports

After work, went for sporting night in SP, wanted to play basketball but in the end played volleyball and 'handball' due to severe overcrowding at the basketball courts. Had lots of fun in the hall and the breathtaking pace of the handball game drained all my energy. Ha... time to shape up liao if nt go army sure struggle.

Also saw the poly 50 notice in the SPA club, wanted to give it another go at it. But it will be competing in another category, the 'Ah lao' cat a.k.a alumnus category. I have never felt so old in my life...
POly 50 is on 11 July, 3 days before i report to tekong. SOmetimes i am wondering if i am nuts to cheong poly 50 and a few days later cheong tekong. HAha... as if my training in tekong will nt be enuf, need to add more spice to it. But poly 50 trainings will shape me up for my army.

Dunno la. But i will give a serious consideration before i sign up and also need to look for kakis to form an SPA Ah lao team. After sports, i accidentally/ unconsciously went to AMK with ang ge and Px to eat dinner. I am suppose to have ai xin dinner at home... well i cant resist food esp when i know i have this few months to eat well...

On my future( next few week) plan, i will be going job hunting again and at the same time shape up my body by going to the gym and swim... NO running for me unless i take part in Poly 50. Hate running though... SMell any contradiction? Compared to most of my peers, i feel that i am nt physically fit enuf... haiz... will take action.

WEnt to look at other ppl's blog, find tt mine is So simple and empty. will do something abt it too...

Ha... Tired liao. Retire!

Working Life vs Student Life

Work for 3 full days liao and i realli missed sch life especialli poly life. The 3 fabulous yrs at poly is nt oni abt getting diploma, but abt friendship, SPA and also doin wad i love... To be frank, i do am nt excited abt earning money and be rich. But i do want is to do wad i love to do, stuffs which i dream of doing and oso trying out new activities.

I hope to turn the clock years back and experience it over again the happiness and the fun filled activities. Hiaz... i am already 2 weeks after my 20 liao, but nt at all excited. Gg to Cheong tekong in a few months time. Maybe tt will be the major milestone of my life. Who knows maybe i will be more mature and discipline by the end of 2 years?

Hehe... during office today, i had thoughts of gg mountain climbing before enlistment... hmmm ... maybe will use the money i sweat out earning, to go Kinabalu. Hope to visit tt mountain before july 14. hehe
... will get a few SPA kakis to go during june holidays? or maybe climb G.tahan again, a cheaper alternative... ha...

Dunno whether the Stong trip is still gg on? but will want to go as well. Oni earn a few $$$ and want to go for so many trip. Ambitious? Nevermind la... think about it oso gd.

1 think tt is bothering me is the PPCDL theory tests. Haiz... i know the lads have been working v hard for it but they didnt make it. I dunno hw to comfort them sia... but maybe will organise a trip to Guan Ying Tang at the four horse road( a.k.a. si ma lu) during the weekend.

In all i have seen 18 failed attempts liao. feeling sads for them as well. emo coming liao. T _ T

Pondering hw to help them... hw to restore their confidence?

Can be 'god' in rolls and flips but nt for PPCDL tests . ha.... Silent for 1 min...

Sunday was red hot and monday turned blue... You see... sunday was fun boating trip and after a night rest, the following day was blue. I seriously didnt know tt my second stint wif RP as temp staff is so different.

** The above picture was used because i didnt have the latest photo of the boat trip anyway i like this picture of Raffles lighthse.

My job is to do scanning of documents probably around 1500 of it in and later label them accordingly in five days. I sat on the chair, eyes fixed on the notebook most of the time... Hiaz i dun realli like to do admin work. Boring in my opinion. I rather go 'outfield' like walking muddy fields coiling rafia or carrying wooden platform than staring at the rectangular monitor untill tears flow and mouth widening every now and then . WOrse of all... i have to scan and name the datas repetitively... as if doing the thing a trillion times... SIANz ah... SOmemore this is oni the first day sia. i neeed another sea trip to scream my lungs off again.





Wah piang eh... doing this doesnt spice up my life, i see no meaning to it. Luckily this is oni 5 short days( I hope...) ANyway i gt a partner wif me but oso doesnt help much except that the 3000 documents workload is split into half. Anyway i have already agreed to work so must act ZAI and hang on until the end.





I am starting to appreciate blogging...

THe boat trip on sunday. I feel that the trip has met my objective la... tt is giving exposure to the all the Kar Kia ( a.k.a assistants ). Glad that they have positive learning attitude and braveness to .... to.... zam(go) full throt. hehe. The onli down side was the time management nia... can be better like punctuality in launching . ALso ah... nvr in my record/ history of chong's boat ppl MOB. ah ha... oso gd thing tt the hat was on tt M.O.Bers if nt even hard to spot . At first i thought the hat flew off ... cos can oni see the hat floating. haha... also gd thing tt the tail boat didnt tailgate us could have been dangerous though. Nt blaming anybody.


I also manage to spot turtle diving off p. hantu.. my relative yeah. the rest of the happy moments i leave it to the rest to tell the tales. fun Fun FUN!!!!

This is my first time blogging and I am still figuring out how to do perform certain functions like posting pictures and also creating personal profile?

Actually I am not sure why i started to blog because i thought that only ladies blog maybe because they want to let out their feelings or opinions and hope that people will read it?! Haha...
Well... i decided to give it a go... blogging.

Well... Today went down to Poly Marina to Kayak, also to play 'god'. Well there are 'new' faces joining us... was impressed by their learning ability (i.e fast learner)

Kool! Hopefully they can become the next generation of 'God' and continue to pass down the stunts that they have pick up. If you are reading this, please also comment on my way of teaching and all feedbacks are welcome !!

I thought i was a little... impatient. I realised i enjoy teaching newbies more than perfecting my strokes more. After that went to get some snacks for tml trip and then back home to eat AI XIN dinner.
